IOM ACBC 2018 Annual Report (Report 2017 plus Outlook 2018)

 

IOM’s African Capacity Building Centre (ACBC) for Migration and Border Management located in Moshi, United Republic of Tanzania, has seen a very active and innovative year 2017.

Important work was done in cooperation with ICAO in the framework of ICAO’s TRIP Programme, based on the November 2016 MoU concluded between IOM and ICAO. Trainings on Travel Document Security, on Border Security and on Countering Migrant Smuggling (CMS) constituted other important thematic fields of intervention for the ACBC.

Advanced ToT on Teaching Methodology for Sudanese Police Officers

 

Moshi, United Republic of Tanzania – IOM, the UN Migration Agency, through its country office in Sudan, its African Capacity Building Centre (ACBC) in Moshi and in collaboration with the Passport and Civil Registration Corporation (PCRC) under the Sudanese Ministry of Interior conducted a 2-week advanced Training of Trainer on Teaching Methodology in Moshi (16-27 April 2018).

IOM ACBC Revamps Somali Immigration Officers’ Training

 

Moshi –  IOM, the UN Migration Agency, through its African Capacity Building Centre (ACBC) in Tanzania, organized a training session from 26 February to 2 March for Somali immigration officials about security documents and fraud detection. Because of increased international travel in the region, it is crucial that Somali immigration officers are trained in documentation examination and fraud detection.
