IOM ACBC Strengthens the Capacity of Immigration Officers from African Member States on Security and Fraud Detection of Travel Documents
Moshi – IOM, the UN Migration Agency, in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice and Security Repatriation and Departure Service (RDS) of the Netherlands and the General Directorate of Immigration of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, conducted a five-day Training of Trainers (T.o.T) on “Security Document and Fraud Detection Teaching Methodology” in Moshi from 26-30 November.
The training was based on the Passport Examination Procedures Manual Second Edition (PEPMII) and gathered 12 immigration officers from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) Immigration Department.

ACBC Training for Tanzanian Officers to Enhance Security through Improved Border and Immigration Management
Tanzania – IOM, the UN Migration Agency, from 5-7 November 2018 facilitated a three days specialized training on transnational organized crime and enhanced security through improved border and immigration management to twenty immigration, police and intelligence officers at IOM’s African Capacity Building Centre (ACBC) in Moshi/Tanzania.
The training brought together senior officers from headquarters and selected land border posts, including Holili, Namanga, Horohoro, Kalambo and Tunduma.
Moshi – IOM, the UN Migration Agency, supported by its African Capacity Building Centre (ACBC) in Moshi and in collaboration with IOM Abuja, conducted a five-day specialized workshop on IOM's Migration Information and Data Analysis System (MIDAS) from 22-26 October 2018.
The workshop gathered a total of 25 participants, including 10 immigration officers from the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and several staff members from IOM Nigeria. The workshop was facilitated by four MIDAS experts from IOM Headquarters.

Moshi, United Republic of Tanzania – IOM, the UN Migration Agency and the Netherlands Repatriation and Departure Service (RDS) in collaboration with the Immigration and Naturalization Directorate of the Federal Republic of Somalia, organized a five day Training of Trainer (TOT) on Security Document and Fraud Detection Teaching Methodology in Moshi on 13th to 17th August, 2018.
