IOMUN African Capacity Building Centre celebrates UN International Migrants Day 2017 in partnership with the Tanzania Regional Immigration Training Academy (TRITA)

For the first time since its inception in 2009, the IOMUN African Capacity Building Centre celebrated the UN International Migrants Day – IMD on December 18, 2017 and took part to the second edition of the IOM Global Migration Film Festival - GMFF organized worldwide from 5-18 December 2017.

Ivorian, Nigerien Governments, African Union and Economic Community of West African States Delegations Conduct Study Tour to Tanzania


United Republic of Tanzania – A team of Ivorian and Nigerien Government delegations accompanied by IOM colleagues in the two countries carried out a study tour in the United Republic of Tanzania from 4 to 10 November 2017 under the framework of the project "Reinforcing Interagency Cooperation for Border Security”, funded by the Government of Japan.

UN Migration Agency Boosts Tanzania’s Capacity to Address Irregular Migration


Dar es Salaam – At the request of Tanzania’s Ministry of Home Affairs and Commissioner General of Immigration services, IOM, the UN Migration Agency, through its African Capacity Building Centre (ACBC) in Moshi, this week (20/11) donated four facial matching systems to the Tanzania Immigration Services Department at the Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA).
