location  Located in the town of Moshi, in the United Republic of Tanzania, IOM’s ACBC lies within Africa’s Great Rift Valley, believed to be the point     of   departure for human migration from Africa to the rest of the World, and roughly equidistant between Africa’s northernmost and southernmost   points.   The ACBC’s Kilimanjaro training facility enjoys 365-degree views of the surrounding countryside, including unobstructed views of Mount   Kilimanjaro,   Africa’s highest peak and the World’s tallest volcano at 5895m. As a top tourist destination for those wishing to climb the Mountain or   visit the     Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater or another of Tanzania’s world-renowned national parks, Moshi is accessible through nearby   Kilimanjaro   International Airport (JRO), with direct flights arriving and departing daily from Addis Ababa, Amsterdam, Dar es Salaam, Doha,   Istanbul, Kigali, and   Nairobi. ACBC | Kilimanjaro is an ideal retreat location for the study of migration, and is particularly well positioned to offer   practical learning   experiences given its close proximity to several one-stop border posts (OSBPs); the nearest being the Holili/Taveta border with   Kenya.
