Adequate training, infrastructure and equipment are needed to enhance Libya's capacity to locate and assist people in distress, especially victims of human trafficking and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence.

With the goal of enhancing operational ability and human rights-based border management activities, IOM and IOM African Capacity Building Center - ACBC held a Humanitarian Border Management training course this week for 25 participants from national border authorities.

The course addresses the need to balance improvements to border security measures with the need to fully respect the human rights of all migrants.
